The Petition to make animal cruelty a federal felony

This is in response to the alarmingly frequent occurance of animal muder and torture. For example, student s at Indiana University set 3 local pet cats on fire; the cat injured the worst, with 3rd degree burns on 40% of her body, died 2 weeks later. Though the students have ben arrested and will be prosecuted, I.U. has not decided what to do about the incident even though according to their own bylaws the students should be expelled. There is also a petition to be sent to both Indiana University and Bloomington Indiana prosecutors to make these monsters suffer the maximum pentalty under the law.
